It is also worth noting that our clear mousse is formulated to provide a golden, natural glow, whereas our tinted tanning mousses are more olive based and will result in a deeper, more bronzed tan.
As with all products we recommend a patch test first to see how the product develops on your own skin, and to determine how long you should leave Solar Eclipse to develop before showering.

I am Scottish but live in New Zealand, I have had a melanoma mole since living in NZ so can’t risk any sun exposure! I’m getting married later this year and it was suggested that my dress would look better with a tan but being very pale, have always been so scared of fake tan. I have been using glow gradual tanning moisturiser for about 6 months have been very happy with the result but wanted to experiment going a bit darker. I liked that solar eclipse said it gave a golden tan so decided to give it a try. First time I put in on before bed, I’m a hot sleeper in my 40s (perimenopause) so some did end up coming off on my sheets. Next time I tried, did it in the morning 24 hours after full body exfoliation and moisturising and it’s perfect! So happy and it looks super natural even for a pale Scottish gal, can’t wait to rock my wedding dress looking like a bronzed beauty :)

As a first time self tanner I took on the solar eclipse! Although recommended for the advanced self tanner I feel like this stuff is kind of fool proof? Love the smell, love the easy application, love there’s no transfer on my white sheets!! I will say once you develop you do smell like self tanner/spray tan. You can customize the depth of your tan which is nice, i put on over night and wash off after 8 hrs for a beautiful bronzed glow! I feel like it’s super natural and subtle. The first time I applied it i expected to wake up looking like an oompa loompa and it was super subtle!! Keep in mind it does continue to develop as the day goes on but love this stuff! ♥️

I tried this on a whim because I wasn’t sure if I would like the no colour guard. Turns out I love it! It’s the best self tanner I’ve used. I love that it has no smell, I can apply morning or night and it doesn’t stain clothing or sheets.
